The National Science Foundation (NSF) is further postponing the in- person 2020 Large Facilities Workshop from September 2020 to the spring of 2021.

In place of the 2020 workshop, NSF will be holding its very first Large Facilities Workshop – 2020 Fall Webinar on October 28, 2020. The Fall Webinar will be a one-day event held via Zoom, with a focus on select topics.

Registration is now open!

Why Attend a Workshop?

The workshop is a collaborative forum for the National Science Foundation’s Large Facilities and other complex scientific facilities and organizations. Desired outcomes to support NSF’s mission and promote the scientific endeavor include:

  • Provide a forum to collect and share best practices and lessons learned
  • Discuss new initiatives and collect community input
  • Demonstrate project management, operations, and business-related tools and techniques
  • Expand our community of practice by connecting colleagues across disciplines and organizations to promote collaboration between facilities

Attendance is especially beneficial for those who have a role in the development, planning, construction or operation of large complex scientific facilities. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in various networking events with their colleagues.
